An officer of the Indian Army, IC 32721 X Lieutenant Colonel Rajendra Singh, Sena Medal, 14 (Scinde) Horse, Retired; became a War Hero of Indo-Pak War during Operation Cactus Lily, 1971 while serving as the Liaison Officer of 115 Infantry Brigade.
Recently, his heroic tale has been published in Fauji India Magazine (access online); as the inaugural article in my "Battlefield Tales" a special series of historic articles dedicated to unsung heroes of our Nation. This series brings the battlefield to you as they were experienced and narrated by our veterans.
