Colonel Surinder Kumar Bhatia, who commanded
a Company of 113 Engineer Regiment, during the Battles for Shakargarh Sector
(1971) has been published after our ongoing discussion in continuation of my
pioneer publications (Part I & II) on Indian Armoured Corps' first-ever mine-breaching
operations during the war. His story adds to our understanding of The Indian
Army at War.
A heroic tale published in Fauji
India Magazine (access online); as a rejoinder to a set of articles in
my "Battlefield Tales - 2" a special series of historic
articles dedicated to unsung heroes of our Nation. This series brings the
battlefield to you as they were experienced and narrated by our veterans.
